Texas Commercial Wine Cellar Equipped with Sale-Boosting Features

One of the critical factors that play an important role in generating wine sales is by creating an enticing product presentation in your hotel, restaurant, retail store, or bar. In Texas, Wine Cellar Specialists built a commercial wine cellar for a high-end restaurant featuring sleek metal VintageView metal wine racks, a glass enclosure, and aluminum frames.

Commercial Wine Cellar: Design Features that Complement an Upscale Restaurant in Texas

One of the many ways to generate wine sales for your business is to create a presentation that will entice customers to buy your products. For restaurants, an elegant wine display area will enhance the dining experience of the customers and will make them want to go back to your dining establishment.

The positive reviews will become word of mouth, leading to sales generation. Therefore, building a wine display area in your dining establishment is a good idea. Make sure you work with the right builder. Your commercial wine cellar should not only be organized, but it should also have an impact on the overall mood and ambiance in your restaurant.

Texas is home to elegant dining establishments where wine is a favorite beverage. Jasper’s Restaurant is one of the upscale restaurants in Cityline, offering gourmet backyard cuisine. Their exceptional dishes are best paired with wines. Initially, the wines were displayed on the shelves in the bar area. The owners decided to add a walk-in wine room for them to have a better and more convenient way to display and organize the wines they sell.

They hired Wine Cellar Specialists, a top-notch builder of custom wine rooms and our long-time partner in wine cellar construction. The architect of the restaurant provided the team with the dimensions of the space to be utilized near the bar area.

Modern Wine Racks: Perfect Design for a High-End Commercial Wine Cellar in Texas

Designing wine racks requires skills and creativity. Some of the factors to consider are the size and shape of the room to be used in the wine cellar construction, where it is located, the number and size of bottles intended to be stored, and the existing theme of the space.

Wine Cellar Specialists designed this commercial wine cellar with a high-density wine storage system for a wide variety of wines like Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Red blends, Eclectic whites, and Zinfandel.

The wall across the door consists of floor-to-ceiling metal wine racks from VintageView. The wine racks at the front section are triple deep, while those placed at the rear section are single deep. More 3-bottles deep metal wine racks were installed on the left wall.

Advantages of VintageView Wine Racks

VintageView has been providing innovative wine storage solutions for hospitality setup. Their wine racks are precisely engineered for maximum durability and stability and are designed with a label-forward orientation for convenient browsing. Since the labels are facing out, it is easier to locate a specific type of wine and read the wine description. Flipping the bottle will disturb the sediments and cause the wine to have an unpleasant taste and texture.

Wine Cellar Cooling System

The HS Series Wine Cooling Unit was the Best Option for this Texas Commercial Wine Cellar

The HS Series Wine Cooling Unit was the Best Option for this Texas Commercial Wine Cellar

Serving high-quality wines is vital to impress guests and build a good reputation for businesses. Wine cooling units play a crucial role in regulating the temperatures and humidity levels to create a safe wine storage environment.

In this commercial wine cellar in Texas, Wine Cellar Specialists installed the High Static (HS Series) 10000 cooling system from US Cellar Systems. Since it is a ducted split refrigeration unit, ductwork was required to direct the cold air into the wine cellar through a vent in the ceiling. The return vent located in the ceiling is where the warm air is carried through.

Wine Cellar Specialists placed the evaporator above the ceiling, which can be accessed easily for maintenance and cleaning. The compressor, the noisier component of the wine cooling system, sits upstairs in an area where the rest of the compressors for the restaurant was located. This type of wine cooling system was a space-savvy solution because it does not occupy space in the wine room, and it offers a virtually quiet operation.

The HS Series climate control system has features that make it perform with maximum efficiency and have a longer lifespan. It has a rustproof aluminum housing and an automatic expansion valve to ensure constant coil temperature and promote humidity balance.

Other features of this HS wine refrigeration unit are:

  • Provides static pressure for duct runs up to 25 feet
  • Thermally protected permanently lubricated motor
  • Pump-down solenoid valve (standard) protects compressor in the event of leaks
  • Pre-installed valves eliminate additional wiring to the thermostat
  • Pressure tested by the manufacturer to ensure quality
  • Factory-wired for simple field installation
  • ETL certified
